His pioneering work in biomedical research into the causes and treatments of Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease has earned him several prestigious awards. He lives in Blainville, Quebec.

Dr. Serge Gauthier

Dr. Serge Gauthier is a professor of neurology and neurosurgery, psychiatry, and medicine at McGill University. He has been a researcher at the Montreal Neurological Hospital, director of the McGill Centre for Studies in Aging, and research chair in the Canadian Institutes for Health Research program. He lives in Hudson Heights, Quebec.

Barbara Sandilands

Barbara Sandilands is a translator, editor, and writing instructor. She is a graduate of Laval University in Quebec City and holds graduate degrees in Canadian Studies and Translation. Barbara was a foreign service officer for thirteen years, with postings in Brussels, Lisbon, and London. She has translated fifteen books from French to English, in subjects ranging from history, art, and politics to architecture, biography, and medicine. She lives in Ottawa.
