I, Gloria Grahame Nominated for 2022 ReLit Awards

Dundurn Press is thrilled to announce author Sky Gilbert has been nominated for the 2022 ReLit Awards in the Novel category for I, Gloria Grahame. Congratulations Sky!

I, Gloria Grahame is a scandalous, humorous novel of taboo desires and repression that alternates between Gloria’s imagined life with her film-director husband, Nicholas Ray and Denton’s increasingly frustrated real-life attempts to produce his own work of art: an all-male drag production of Shakespeare’s Venus and Adonis.

ReLit is short for Regarding Literature, Reinventing Literature, and Relighting Literature. The awards were conceived by Harvey as an alternative to larger mainstream prizes. The ReLit Award is a Canadian literary prize awarded annually to book-length works in the novel, short-story and poetry categories. Founded in 2000 by Newfoundland filmmaker and author Kenneth J. Harvey, they are considered the preeminent literary prize in independent Canadian publishing. The winners of the Novel category will be announced on May 20th. Learn more here.
