Seeing the Whole Process - Part 1

Publishing is an exercise in patience, collaboration, and organization. Everyone at Dundurn Press plays an important role in getting books from a raw manuscript to the finished product you pick up at your favourite bookseller!

I started working at Dundurn Press last September as the editorial intern. While I had completed a publishing program, and had a broad understanding of the industry, I was still completely surprised by the amount of time and team work it takes to create a book from scratch.

Three of the most recent covers to come out of the Dundurn design department are Sadia, The 4 Year Olympian, and The Teen's Guide to Debating and Public Speaking. These books all feature illustrated covers but are aimed at vastly different audiences. Here are the upcoming books and what our designers had to say.
