Welcome to 2016! It's a new year and a fresh start for all of us here at Dundurn HQ. Because January is the best time to set new goals for the year ahead and of course because we all love books; I asked a few of our staff what their reading resolution was this year. Here are some of our 2016 reading resolutions!

“My reading resolution this year is to read for at least 30 minutes every week night BEFORE I turn on the tv. I've been leaving my reading to just before bedtime, which is probably why last year's goodreads challenge failed miserably (don't ask me about it. I'm ashamed).” -Kate, Marketer

“I read that Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg challenged himself to read a new book every other week in 2015. Challenge accepted!” -Will, Marketing Intern

“I have over 30 books on my to-read shelf. Since my book buying often eclipses my reading speed, I've made it my 2016 New Year’s reading resolution to finish at least two books a month. Hopefully I can get my to-read shelf down to the single digits.” -Kyle, Marketing Coordinator

“My reading resolution is to read Cold Girl by R.M. Greenaway. I had the pleasure of announcing Rachel as the winner of the Unhanged Arthur Award a few years back, so I’m looking forward to starting my 2016 Goodreads Challenge with Cold Girl! It’s set in the snowbound Hazeltons of Northern BC, an area I don’t know well, so I look forward to reading this amazing-sounding psychological thriller!” -Karen, Publicity Manager
