Come to the CNE and celebrate Toronto history for kids on Family Day! Join children's author Philippa Dowding at Scadding Cabin, on the grounds of the CNE (families enter free). She'll read from Carter and the Curious Maze, book 3 in her award-winning middle-grade series, Weird Stories Gone Wrong. Kids will learn about Fort Rouillé (1750-1759) which was the first European settlement on Toronto soil, a monument to which still stands beside Scadding cabin on the CNE grounds. Pioneer games, activities and scavenger hunt are part of the fun. Join us!
