Marketing Internship

Do you love books? Would you like to gain marketing, sales, and publicity experience? Dundurn Press is offering a paid marketing internship for someone who has a passion for publishing.

Dundurn is Canada's largest independent publisher. With titles in such areas as politics, history, biography, mysteries, and YA, Dundurn publishes over one hundred Canadian-authored books a year.

As our marketing intern, you will create and manage content for social media, participate in events, help manage special promotions, and assist with departmental workflow. Administrative duties will include distributing new books and helping to oversee the office schedule. You will also be the first and last point of contact for anyone visiting the office, operating reception from the front desk.

This is a fully paid internship and a training experience; many of the skills you need will be learned on the job. However, familiarity with Microsoft Office is required, and you will need to be comfortable working with an array of social media platforms. Dundurn launches two new books each week on average, so you will be an active participant in a large number of publishing projects and will need excellent time-management skills.

The internship begins August 20 and ends December 21, 2018.
