Description

James Reaney can be counted in the top rank of Canadian poets. Through thirty years of writing he has established a steady and widespread influence both in literary circles and with the general reading public. This is the first selection of his poems, an invaluable resource for Canadian literature courses or anyone interested in Canadian poetry. Reaney’s poetic vision incorporates intellectuality, religion, regionalism and poetic tradition without the loss of personal vitality or the spaciousness of human experience.
