5 Reasons Life Is Better As A Workday Warrior

I have always been a dreamer — a dreamer who sometimes has an unrealistic relationship with time. Early in my career, I was an overworked consultant, struggling to keep up. Yet I kept taking on more and more. I wanted to do it all. Now. This continued far too long, until I finally declared enough to my time ceiling. I was determined to find a better way.

After studying busy people for over two decades, I can confidently declare there is a better way. My book, Workday Warrior, outlines a proven approach to reclaiming your time, even when you’re feeling stretched thin.

I know your time is precious, so let’s cut straight to point. Here are five reasons you should read Workday Warrior:

#1 Life feels busier than ever before.

You are working longer hours to keep up with a to-do list that grows even faster. You race from one task or meeting to another, always feeling like your day runs you instead of the other way around.

#2 You feel stressed and frustrated.

You are good at what you do, and you work hard. Yet still it may not feel like enough. You’ve tried many time management strategies, but still as busy as ever. You feel stuck on a cycle of rinse and repeat with long lists and short days.

#3 Work (and life) is more complicated.

Over time, your responsibilities at work and in life have expanded. The way you worked in the past is no longer working for you. You may have resigned yourself to accept this chronic, relentless pace but you don’t feel as though you are thriving at work – or life.

#4 You are a high performer.

There’s no need to be modest. You are already quite productive with a proven track record. You have strong work habits. Yet there is still so much more you want to do, both personally and professionally.

#5 Time is racing by.

Do you believe, as I do, there is no time like the present - and no present like time? (Thank you to Georgia Byng for capturing this so eloquently). Yes, time speeds away, regardless of how we spend it. This is beyond our control. But we can take some focused steps to protect time and pay ourselves first.

If you can relate to any of these five reasons, Workday Warrior will give you a clear and practical roadmap to help you reclaim your time and gain more control over your days. You’ll be able to concentrate your focus, protect time for what matters most, and simplify your work and life.
