The Life and Deaths of Frankie D. Named Finalist for the 2022 High Plains Book Award

Dundurn Press is thrilled to announce author Colleen Nelson has been nominated for the 2022 High Plains Book Award in the Young Adult Book category for The Life and Deaths of Frankie D. Congratulations Colleen!

The Life and Deaths of Frankie D. is a fantastical novel about a hundred-year-old side show and a girl with no past. School Library Journal says that “Nelson has crafted a magical realism story that will keep readers wondering until the end,” and called “an immersive and utterly pleasurable read” by Quill & Quire.

The Billings Public Library Board has established the High Plains Book Awards to recognize regional literary works which examine and reflect life on the High Plains, including the states of Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Nebraska, Colorado and Kansas, and the Canadian provinces of Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan.
