Paul Heinbecker

A career diplomat, Paul Heinbecker has served at home and abroad in positions as varied as Director of the United States General Relations Division, Chief Foreign Policy Advisor to Brian Mulroney, and head of the Canadian delegation to Kyoto. In 2000 Heinbecker was appointed Ambassador to the United Nations. He is the inaugural director of the Centre for Global Relations at Wilfrid Laurier University.
