We're proud to announce that three Dundurn titles have been shortlisted for the 2015 Speaker's Book Award!
The New Urban Agenda: The Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area by Bill Freeman
Nipissing: Historic Waterway, Wilderness Playground by Françoise Noël
The Battlefield of Ontario Politics: An Autobiography by Greg Sorbara.
Launched by Speaker Levac in 2012, the Speaker’s Book Award aims to bring awareness to books written by Ontarians covering historical, regional, cultural, or parliamentary aspects of the province. Special consideration is given to works focusing on Ontario’s parliamentary heritage and on provincial political discourse. Descriptions of this year’s books are available at the Speaker’s Book Award web site.
We were also shortlisted last year for The Ashes of War: The Fight For Upper Canada: August 1814–March 1815 by Richard Feltoe and Paikin and the Premiers: Personal Reflections on Half a Century of Ontario Leaders by Steve Paikin.
The winner will be announced at an awards ceremony held at the Ontario Legislative Building on March 7th, 2016.
Congratulations to all the nominees!
