Join city historian Mike Filey aboard Trillium ferry for an afternoon on Toronto's water. Mike will be participating in the Heritage Toronto afternoon cruise to talk to visitors about the history of the 100-year-old ferry, as described in his book, Trillium and Toronto Island.
About the Book
In June 1910, the new steam ferry for the Toronto Island Company was launched and christened Trillium. As it reaches its centennial anniversary, Mike Filey revisits the history of the memorable Canadian landmark and serves up a few extra bits. With updated photographs, Filey traces the Trillium's remarkable rise and fall and commemorates one of Toronto's finest treasures.
