Quetico’s landscape is dominated by remnants of a glacial past. As the glacier receded near 12,000 years ago, the Paleo-Indians moved into the area to become Quetico's first explorers. Today’s canoeists cross portages and sleep on campsites that were first used by these explorers. At Canoecopia 2010, Jon will introduce you to Quetico’s glacial past, its long and varied human history, and the diverse plant and animal life found in today’s Quetico. Attendees have two opportunities to catch Jon's talk - he will be speaking on Saturday March 13th at 12:30 p.m.
