Educated at University of Western Ontario (BA, 1951) and University of Toronto (MLS, 1968); further graduate work in Old Icelandic language and literature. Until retirement in 1993 was a reference librarian at University of Windsor where she was a sessional lecturer in Scandinavian Studies 1971-81. She was publisher of Netherlandic Press 1981-1997.
